Emma Thompson has revealed that she was unaware of her former husband Kenneth Branagh’s affair at the time it was happening.
In an interview with The Daily Mail, Emma Thompson has revealed that she was “utterly blind” to her then-husband Kenneth Branagh’s affair with Helena Bonham Carter.
Thompson, who was married to Branagh from 1989 to 1995, said she had “no idea” about the affair until she saw photographs of the two together in a newspaper.
“I was utterly blindsided by it,” she said. “I had absolutely no idea.”
The actress added that she and Branagh are now on good terms and have remained friends since their divorce.
