Italian film icon Gina Lollobrigida passed away on Monday in Rome at the age of 95. Her agent, Paola Comin, did not provide any further details. Lollobrigida had undergone surgery in September to fix a broken thigh bone from a fall and had returned home, stating that she had resumed walking quickly.
In the 1950s, Lollobrigida achieved international fame and was dubbed “the most beautiful woman in the world” after the title of one of her films.
